our philosophy

Pedal powered conservation.

Our philosophy is simple: connect the world’s most passionate cyclists with some of Africa’s wildest and most beautiful places — and let that connection do real good. Every ride we run is built to fund conservation, support local communities, and prove that travel can restore a place rather than deplete it.

“For posterity.”
“Satisfying a nation does not mean destroying the pristine nature of the various eco-systems, but rather ensuring their renewable attributes continue renewing themselves for the benefit of posterity and of economic wellbeing.”

Why cycling. Why Africa.

There is a community of cyclists all over the world who already understand what we believe: that the best way to know a place is slowly, under your own power, with nothing between you and the land but two wheels and open air. Our goal is to bring that community to Africa — to link the passion of riders everywhere with some of the wildest and most beautiful landscapes on the continent.

That connection is the point. Every rider who comes to Africa on a bicycle sees the bush differently — slower, closer, more honestly — and every trip we run is designed so that experience gives something back. A share of every ride funds conservation and supports the local communities along our routes, so the places we love to ride stay wild for the riders who come after us.

This is what sustainable travel looks like to us: not a marketing word, but a working model, where tourism and conservation and community sit on the same side of the ledger. Pedal powered, in every sense.
